Low Carbon Buffet for just £5 Organic local sourced food buffet brought to you by Slow Food Manchester, Contact's Kitchen and Dig's organic food delivery. Served from 12 - 2pm. Environmental Design Window Farm by Maya Chowdhry at Contact's canteen window. WindowfarmsTM are vertical, hydroponic, modular, low-energy, high-yield edible window gardens built using low-impact or recycled local materials. 25 fresh live vegetable plants can grow--lettuce, herbs, snap peas, cherry tomatoes, peppers, kale, small squash, edible flowers, and many more--in a normal 4'x 6' window in your home. Mezzanine -Stalls 1 - ' Manchester: A certain future ' stall run by Action for Sustainable Living (AfSL) 'Manchester: A certain future' is Manchester City Council climate change action plan. Its successful delivery will rely on us all working together which is why the council invites everyone to have their part to play and has set up a stakeholder conference on the 30 th of November at the Museum of science and Industry from 9am to 4am. AfSL volunteers will video-interview members of the public at envirolution festival around the themes of the stakeholder conference: transport, housing, community engagement (just to mention very few) and will send these at the conference. Student Union M'chester University 5 - 7pm ' Eco-Brazil Live Feed ' by ArcSpace Open source telepresence technology will bring us some of the most interesting eco projects in Brazil here in Manchester with a much lower environmental impact. Envirolution wants to walk the walk and aims to bring any interesting international eco project to Manchester without having to flight those people here.
